Right now, there is not a whole lot written about this phone but there is a whole lot of hype and it sounds like this is going to be an amazing piece of technology. Of course, only time will tell if the Droid by Motorola will be able to match up to or even best the popular iPhone. Here are a few things I do know, or at least information I found out.
The Droid is set to retail at $200.00 for new Verizon Wireless contracts and upgrades. Like most phones, the price will be much higher if you want it and are not due for an upgrade. It is going to have access to over 10,000 apps. It is supposed to come with a 5MP camera, be able to play, record and store video, photos, music and more, have a super faster internet connection speed, have speech recognition and even have a USB port.
Powered by Google, it will also built in with a turn by turn navigation system, a full Qwerty keyboard,YouTube access, access to Twitter and Facebook, email access, games, sports, travel and a Notification Panel. The list goes on and on. Only time will tell exactly how many features it will actually offer, but it sounds like Verizon Wireless is going to be in competition with the iPhone.

So, there you have it. There will be a stiff competition since there have been over 40,000,000 iPhones sold world wide with access to over 50,000 apps. The Droid by Verizon Wireless does have the Google advantage, or at least that will be how some people see it. It's exciting and hopefully it will live up to all the hype. Coming soon to a Verizon Wireless store near you.
