I can't tell you how many times I have tried to pry up a flashlight so that I could see the exact spot I wanted to see. I have wedged a flashlight between wires, up against a furnace, in between rafters and many other places. Of course, there is always the old under the arm trick where you wedge the flashlight between your arm and your body and still it just doesn't quite work.
