It seems like every time I cook, I set off the smoke detector. Do you know if there a detector that has some sort of a snooze or delay button? I hate taking the battery out while I am cooking because I might forget to put it back in. Do you have any good ideas that might help me with this problem. Jordo

One other thing to remember that placement of smoke detectors is crucial. It makes sense that locating a detector far enough away from the kitchen cooking area, when possible, is a good idea.
